Eagles players react to having another star athlete in town

In light of the NFL offseason, Philadelphia Eagles players get excited about their neighbors signing Bryce Harper. The biggest Free Agent in Baseball.
It’s a done deal! The Philadelphia Phillies have officially announced that they have signed the most prominent Free Agent in Baseball by inking Bryce Harper to a 13-year deal. While many expected Harper’s contract to contain an early opt-out, it turns out that Harper had every intention of inking a deal with a team that would become his permanent home for the rest of his career. Now, Harper is a part of the Philadelphia sports scene for quite a long time.
Naturally, Philadelphia Eagles players were very excited. As a few of them have participated in recruiting the former Washington Nationals outfielder throughout the negotiating process, they would be happy to find out that it’s a done deal after waiting months for a signing. So, not only are the Eagles and the Philadelphia 76ers playoff caliber teams in Philly, but the Phillies are looking like they will be favorites to make a nice run in the MLB as well.
Being that the Eagles and the Phillies are neighbors, the players of both teams are pretty tight. During every offseason, Eagles players tend to find themselves over at Citizens Bank Park to participate in smacking some baseballs around; whether it’s the Eagles home run derby or Carson Wentz’s charity softball game, the Eagles are always in some way involved with other Philly sports teams. So seeing Eagles players get excited about the Phillies was a pretty cool moment.
