Mike Wallace

Age: 33

Last team: Philadelphia Eagles

Let’s just get this one out of the way – Mike Wallace signed on with the Eagles through Free Agency last year, and his short stint did not go as planned. 99-percent of the reason why Wallace wanted to play in Philly was because they had Carson Wentz on board. Although Wentz was nursing a knee injury, and wouldn’t return until Week Three, Wallace was willing to take less money elsewhere as long as he got to play with Wentz.

Unfortunately, Wallace ended up taking less money not only to miss playing with Wentz, but he also contributed nothing to the Eagles 2018 season. He registered zero stats in Week One and was out for the season by Week Two.

Wallace was still getting separation deep down the field with the Eagles when healthy, but a rusty Nick Foles struggled to connect with him. It’s not the ideal scenario, but if the Eagles can get Wallace back for cheap, it wouldn’t be such a bad idea to have an experienced veteran deep threat who already knows the playbook.
