John Brown

Age: 28

Last Team: Baltimore Ravens

John Brown has been connected to the Eagles for the last couple of weeks. Why’s that? Well, because he’s considered to be a speedy deep threat. Similar to Wallace last season, Brown is on his way out from Baltimore and seeking a new opportunity. He finished up last season with 42 catches for 715 yards and five touchdowns. Not a spectacular line, but it would definitely work for the Eagles, that’s for sure.

Once again, the Eagles lack a veteran deep threat. Once Shelton Gibson failed to fill in for a traded Torrey Smith, and an injured Mike Wallace, the Eagles, were doomed in the deep ball game. Nelson Agholor has proven to be quick enough to beat the secondary deep on occasion, but the Eagles are more than likely hurting Agholor if they don’t have him in the slot. Brown could bring some much-needed speed, and he could be bought with a multi-year deal, unlike some other veterans.
