According to Pro Football Focus’ Top-25 Free Agent’s available list, the Philadelphia Eagles have a tough decision to make on three guys.

The start to the NFL Legal Tampering period was not a disappointment on Monday, especially if you’re a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. We all knew that Howie Roseman was going to remain agressive, but he surely made his presence known in the market at the start as he made a few signings, re-structures, cuts, and a trade.

The crazy thing about the Eagles newest moves on Monday is the fact that they preserved a fair amount of cap space. Before they started shifting around contracts, the Eagles had one of their worst cap space situations in the NFL. Now, they are sitting in the middle of the NFL, and continuing to make as many significant moves as possible.

So far, Howie Roseman and the Eagles front office have brought in some new faces. Now, could they be looking to spend more on retaining some of their own? As the Eagles may have some of the top Free Agent’s looming, according to Pro Football Focus, that may be where they started shifting their attention to on Day Two of the offseason.

Who are the former top Eagles still available?

10. Jordan Hicks, LB

Jordan Hicks is one of the better linebackers available in the Free Agency pool, and it’s quite shocking to know that he hasn’t drawn any significant interest just yet. Guys like Kwon Alexander and C.J. Mosley have signed some expensive contracts, but Hicks’ name hasn’t really come up much in rumors. It’s quite obvious his injury history is concerning, but Hicks could be the top linebacker available at this point. As the Eagles still haven’t filled the void of the middle linebacker role, don’t be surprised to see him back sooner than later.

"Hicks looked on his way to becoming one of the league’s elite linebackers early in his career before injuries took their toll. He earned 84.6 and 91.1 coverage grades in 2015 and 2016, respectively. Hicks has only managed 1,043 snaps since though with injuries, but the talent is still there."

9. Golden Tate, WR

Golden Tate came to Philly midway through the 2018 season by the cost of a third-round pick. Since it took so long for Tate to adapt in the offense, it’s pretty obvious that the Eagles aren’t eager to re-sign him at this point. Is Tate a better option in the slot than Nelson Agholor? History would say so. Unfortunately, Tate’s going to be a bit pricey, and Agholor is significantly younger. Tate has been searching for a new team since last month. It’s extremely doubtful he’s back.

"He’s not a true number one receiver – and you won’t find one in the FA class – but he’s an excellent complementary piece. He’s one of the most elusive receivers in the league and deadly on screens. His 58 broken tackles over the last three years are the most of any receiver in the NFL."

2. Ronald Darby, CB

Ever since last year, PFF has been very, how do we say this? Pro-Ronald Darby. As Darby’s solid play in Philly has been overshadowed by missed tackles, biting on double moves, and getting injured, it’s hard to imagine that the Eagles want him back. But they do, and apparently, they aren’t wrong for keeping an eye on Darby. Clearly, his inability to stay healthy is concerning, and it would be shocking to see if the Eagles paid Darby’s rumored high demand while having a few young cornerbacks already on board for cheap.

"He’s only 25, but there is already a legitimate injury tag attached to Darby after playing all of 921 snaps the past two regular seasons. The high level is still there though, as we saw in the Eagles’ Super Bowl run. That year he allowed a catch rate of only 53.7 percent and a passer rating of 72.3."
