Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Ronald Darby will kick off his 2019 NFL Free Agency tour by visiting with the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Philadelphia Eagles have made a couple of moves at the start of 2019 NFL Free Agency, but have been quiet for the last couple of days. There were some guys that they were rumored to be interested in retaining, but for the most part, their young Free Agent’s have considered to leaving. For starters, middle linebacker Jordan Hicks visited with the Arizona Cardinals on Tuesday, where he ended up signing a very rich deal.

Now, the Eagles could be looking to lose one of their starting cornerbacks from the 2017-2018 season as well. Ronald Darby is set to visit the Kansas City Chiefs on Wednesday night, and they will become the first team that he visits since the NFL tampering period got started.

Is Darby a goner?

Last week, there were reports that the Philadelphia Eagles still had interest in Darby. Although he’s missed a significant amount of time in the previous two years, it was clear that he was the best cornerback on the team. Also, he’s had quite a few years of experience starting on the outside. Since Darby is only 25-years-old, he was expected to have an excellent demand on the market.

As cornerbacks started rolling off the board, it was getting shocking to see Darby still available. Perhaps, the Eagles were trying to persuade him to stay. Or maybe, his recent knee injury is shying teams away from wanting to cough up the big bucks for him. If the Eagles lose Darby to the Chiefs, they will still be in alright shape in the secondary next year. Although they have had their fair share of struggles throughout the 2018 season, the front office has made it clear that they would like to allow their young guys to develop.
