Nick Foles put up some staggering numbers doing his tenure with the Philadelphia Eagles. That begs the question. Does he deserve to have his number hang in rafters at Lincoln Financial Field?
There are very few players who don a Philadelphia Eagles jersey who truly exemplify the ‘City of Brotherly Love’ and the Eagles franchise like Nick Foles. While he only spent five seasons with the Eagles, Foles accomplished numerous feats his predecessors were unable to achieve. Which begs the question, does Foles deserve to have his number retired by the Eagles?
Coming out of the University of Arizona, Foles was selected in the third-round at the 88th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft by Philadelphia.
He was not touted to be the next superstar, but once he started posting some incredible stats week after week, he began captivating football fans all over the world.
Sure, Foles quickly took the league by storm and became a Philadelphia sports hero, but has he earned the right to be the last Eagles player to wear the No. 9?
