Round 4, Pick 127:

Miles Sanders, running back, Penn State Nittany Lions

Landing Justice Hill out of Oklahoma State is a dream scenario, but it’s unlikely. Philly never seems to get their first choice at running back in these selection meetings, and they just added Jordan Howard.

Couple that with the fact that everyone seems to have forgotten Corey Clement‘s still on the team, and he can play when he’s healthy (he wasn’t last season). The Eagles have a nice stable of running backs, and that may lessen the need to take one early.

With no picks in the third round, Philly may feel the needs to spend a selection in the fourth on some backfield help. Philly likes Hill, but he won’t be available. Miles Sanders is as good an option as any when you look at who should still be on the boards.

In his final season in ‘Happy Valley’ (he spent two backing up Saquon Barkley), Sanders racked up 1,274 yards and nine touchdowns on 220 carries. A nice Combine has caught the attention of several NFL teams.
