Jordan Howard posts a picture of himself in a Philadelphia Eagles jersey
We’ve heard from just about everybody about the Jordan Howard trade except for, well, Jordan Howard. He’s been quiet, but recently, he joined his own hype train.
No one will ever confuse Jordan Howard with Terrell Owens. One, they play two totally different positions and played in two different eras, but secondly, the latter is really a quiet dude. We’re approaching a week since Mr. Howard joined the Philadelphia Eagles, and to be honest, most of us could probably admit to something if we’re being truthful.
We don’t even know what his voice sounds like. Then, when you think about it, he wore that visor. The casual fan probably couldn’t pick this guy out of a lineup.
For that reason, we, at ITI, looked at his social media accounts (his profile name on Instagram is simply ‘JH’). There we found something simple yet overstated. Jordan Howard recently posted a picture of himself in an Eagles jersey.

Did you notice something?
We don’t mean to start anything here, but did anyone notice Jay Ajayi in the comments? That’s not to say him calling Howard’s pic ‘fire’ is insincere. It just seems, well, weird, being that we’re discussing the team that just let him walk.
Then again, that isn’t fair. Ajayi’s a professional and, seemingly, a good dude. He understands the nature of the business side of football, and we shouldn’t be surprised that he’s celebrating the good fortunes of someone else. He should land on his feet somewhere, and he’s proven he belongs in this league. There’s just one thing.
No one’s picked him up yet. Is there a possibility that he might return to the Eagles at a discount? Again, we don’t want to start anything. We’re just asking a question.
Let’s get back to Eagles business.
Let’s get back to Howard. ‘Number 24’ put a smile on a lot of faces this week. There are a lot of people who have an emotional attachment to the Eagles who believed this team needed to add a piece at running back.
Philly not only did that. They added one of the league’s youngest and brightest. Fans loved the idea of Howard joining ‘The Birds’. So did his new teammates. Now, we’ve learned Mr. Howard’s excited as well. Happiness means a lot in the current NFL for these players we cheer for whether we believe that or not.
For Howard, Philly represents a new beginning, a new team, and a new opportunity (and maybe a new deal). The Eagles got a talented running back who’s in a contract year. Ladies and gentlemen, buckle up. This could get really good really quickly.
