With the 2019 NFL Draft approaching, we take a stab at who might the Philadelphia Eagles select with an Eagles-only seven-round mock draft.

The 2019 NFL Draft has the making of becoming a cornerstone for the future of the Philadelphia Eagles. Are the Eagles one of the more complete teams in the NFL on paper? Absolutely. Are they considered to be playoff contenders for the 2019 NFL Season? Of course! However, this team is not getting any younger.

As we’ve seen, the Eagles’ front office likes to take care of immediate needs through Free Agency, and there, age doesn’t matter. The Eagles caught their criticism of taking tons of ‘old guys,’ but the front office won’t be focused on that sort of judgment.

The Eagles use Free Agency to patch up holes with veterans for winning now. When it comes to the draft though, they merely take the best player on their board and hope to develop these guys to one day become franchise-changing players. This year, the Eagles have seven picks lined up. Three of which, are within the first two rounds.

Knowing Howie Roseman and the Eagles, they will probably make a move or two during the drafting process. There’s a possibility that they trade up as early as in the first round. But there’s also the chance of them trading away some drafting assets for another veteran player (Duke Johnson, anyone?)

Regardless though, we will stay with this basics in this mock draft scenario. No trade ups, and no trade backs. The Eagles hold the 25th, 53rd, 57th, 127th, 138th, 163rd, 197th picks of the NFL Draft this season. So without further ado, let’s make some educated guesses on who the Eagles could potentially draft in a few weeks.
