Yes, we’re still talking about the Philadelphia Eagles draft needs, and we’re still discussing running backs. Meet Florida Atlantic’s Devin Singletary.

Count them up. We’re talking 714 career rushing attempts, 4,287 yards and 66 rushing touchdowns on the ground. Add 51 receptions, 397 yards and another touchdown through the air. Former Florida Atlantic Owls standout Devin Singletary has teams, scouts and fans talking as the 2019 NFL Draft approaches. Throw the Philadelphia Eagles into the mix of interested teams as well.

They’ve made it no secret that running back might be one of those areas they address when the NFL’s annual selection meeting kicks off on the last Thursday in April.

Here’s a few of their thoughts on the man NFL.com compares to another former Eagles running back, Charlie Garner. Take a look:

Here’s more from Lance Zierlein. He sees this prospect as a potential fourth-round or fifth-round selection with the potential to become a starter. This comes straight from his draft profile on NFL.com:

"Undersized, three-down back with rare improvisational skill and toughness through contact to squeeze every yard he can from each carry. Singletary was asked to catch it less in 2018, but he’s a tough cover out of the backfield and has the dog in him to step up and deliver a lick in blitz pickup. He ran poorly and did not test well in short-area quickness events at the combine, which could hurt his draft standing, but might not deter him from NFL success as a complementary runner."

His 2017 season ended with him taking home Conference USA Most Valuable Player honors. He’s also been recognized as a First Team All Conference USA standout in both 2017 and 2018. On December 2nd of 2017, he torched North Texas for 164 rushing yards and three trips to the end zone in the Conference USA Championship Game.

He gave us a 40 time of 4.66, did the three-cone drill in 7.32 seconds and wrapped up the 20-yard shuttle in 4.4 seconds.

Stadium was nice enough to put together a highlight reel. Here’s some thing for those of you who need a visual.
