The 2019 NFL Draft is less than a week away. We’ve compiled a list of the best outside linebacker prospects. Heaven knows the Birds could use one.

Here’s what we know. Everyone’s talking about the upcoming 2019 NFL Draft, and if you’re a Philadelphia Eagles fan, you’ve got your mind on their linebackers. Let’s take a little inventory.

The two we’re most familiar with are Nigel Bradham and Kamu Grugier-Hill. We’ve seen how good Bradham can be, and when Philly was in the midst of their Super Bowl run in 2018, it was ’53’ who filled in for the oft-injured Jordan Hicks, called the defensive signals and helped the Eagles defense push on without one of their better young players (who also might have been Philly’s most gifted linebacker at the time).

Hicks is gone now, and for the second season in a row, Philly’s got this desire to see Grugier-Hill step into one of those leadership roles and take the next step in Jim Schwartz’s defense. We’re also well aware of the fact that there are question marks everywhere else.

Can Nathan Gerry play in this league? What can we realistically expect from the likes of L.J. Fort and Paul Worrilow? Philly’s linebacker corps is a loose collection of guys we’re not sure can make the team, guys who were given up on by other squads, and guys who have been on the roster for a while but still remain a mystery.

If one or two of these guys pop, every Eagles fan will be ecstatic, but in the NFL, you can’t bank on hopes. ‘The Birds’ need some insurance, and they figure to look for some come this year’s version of the draft. Here are the top ten prospects entering the upcoming selection meeting.
