The 2019 NFL Draft is upon us. We’ve got another of those Philadelphia Eagles-only mock drafts, but this one comes with a twist. It’s all defense.

The 2019 NFL Draft is upon us and perhaps, there isn’t another fan base in sports that loves defense quite like the Philadelphia Eagles fan. Just think back to Buddy Ryan and Bud Carson and Jim Johnson. Here’s one that might make you feel even better. Think about Reggie White and Seth Joyner and Clyde Simmons. You might even have a moment where Jerome Brown crosses your mind (may he rest in peace).

Yes, a love and appreciation of great defense is just something that’s worked into your DNA if you’re a fan of the Eagles.

Do you ever wonder why the defensive struggles are always considered the boring games in football? Maybe it’s because we live in an era where people love to see offensive explosions and points, and the only time we love shutouts is when our team is the one who orchestrated one.

Either way, if your favorite football team is constantly on the receiving end of an offensive shellacking, the need for improvement on defense is the topic on everyone’s social media page. The Eagles are in a good spot. They have veteran leadership and young stars at every level of Jim Schwartz‘s unit, but football is a war of attrition. Injuries are common, and no one knows that better than the Eagles fan.

For that reason, and jut for fun, we, at ITI cooked up our first ever all-defensive mock. What would Philly do if they drafted simply to create depth and prepare foe the future on that side of the ball? Here’s our idea on that. Inside the Iggles co-editor and expert Justin Grasso served as our de facto team scout for this one. The results are as follows.
