NFL Writer Chris Wesseling put together a list of the top ten offenses in the NFL. As expected, the Philadelphia Eagles found themselves high on the list.

The 2018 NFL season was a strange year for the Philadelphia Eagles. Despite being the reigning Super Bowl Champions, the Eagles clearly weren’t quite the powerhouse they once were in 2017. Maybe another handful of crucial injuries played an essential part in that fact, but it became a bit concerning. As the Eagles were one loss away from getting eliminated from the playoffs, an unexpected three-game winning streak placed them in a Wild Card spot for the postseason.

Although the Eagles visibly improved throughout the last few games of last year, one side of the ball didn’t exactly improve like many thought. Nick Foles might’ve been the savior to the Eagles offense, but when you look at the numbers, the defense was the real difference-maker when it was all said and done. All year long, the Eagles were significantly worse on offense no matter who was in at quarterback. You can blame injuries to the offensive line.

You could say the backfield was weak. Many believed the Eagles needed a deep threat. And some would even say Carson Wentz, for the most part, was having a regressed year. Regardless of what the exact issue was, it was clear the Eagles weren’t a top offense in the NFL in 2018. But that season is now in the past. How is the Eagles’ offense viewed heading into the 2019 season?
