Here’s a list of the guys attending Philadelphia Eagles rookie minicamp on a tryout basis. Might one end up in the category of ‘surprise’ and join the squad?

Guess what guys? The Philadelphia Eagles are back on the field. As we transition from the signing of the new guys to watching the offseason program progress, excitement is beginning to creep in. Whether we like to admit it or not, expectation may be doing the same thing.

If the last two seasons have taught us anything, it’s the fact that, whether the Eagles are healthy or not, they’re going to be competitive. Let’s hope they’re healthy.

Young stars will be back who couldn’t finish the season last time (Derek Barnett and Carson Wentz for instance). Philly will also add five new guys from the most recent draft and ten official undrafted free agent signings to the guys we’ll see running around the practice field. It should be fun to get to know them.

Oh, and by the way, there are quite a few guys who will looking to channel their inner Vince Papale and join this team after competing on a tryout basis. Here are their names and their position groups.

We start on defense.

Claudy Mathieu, Mike Ramsay, Kendal Vickers, and Louis Vecchio

Next. Eagles draft class signs their deals and gets jersey numbers. dark

Oh, and by the way, there’s one more guy who will be looking to make his name on special teams (though we’re feeling like Rick Lovato is safe.

Cross your fingers. If the Eagles find one diamond in this collective rough, then all of this is a win. If they find two or more, the Eagles brass will be giving each other a few high fives.
