If you pay attention to Twitter, you’ve probably seen Malcolm Jenkins sharing a few highlights and dropping some knowledge. Recently, he gave his fellow NFL safeties some advice.

Philadelphia Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins is the man. Let’s just get that out of the way. Imagine being as physical as he is on the football field and never asking for a break on game day. Such was the case a season ago, as he did his impersonation of Iron Man.

The more we think about it, the more we feel like anyone upset about him missing some voluntary workouts should take a chill pill. Jenkins is just as dedicated to the game as he’s always been. If you have any doubt about that, you only need to check out his social media pages.

He just can’t stop talking about the game he loves.

During every play on a football field, there are twenty two guys running around. Oftentimes, one or two of them will become the star of that clip. Some of the big plays live on long after the guys in them stop playing.

Guys who contribute to the play but aren’t carrying the ball are often forgotten about. The guys we aren’t paying attention to, regardless of where they are on the field, often determine a play’s failure or success. If they do something right, we normally don’t say anything. If they do something wrong, we hear their name for a different reason.

Jenkins is rarely the latter.

Recently ’27’ took to Twitter to give his fellow NFL safeties some advice. Here’s a quote:

"For all my safeties out there. If you wanna stop the TOSS play, do what you gotta do to keep your CB clean. They don’t pay corners to take on pulling linemen. To all my corners; if I take this L for you, make the damn tackle!"

Here’s the clip:

That’s what you call teamwork. That, by definition, is a defensive highlight. That’s what you call fundamental soundness. That’s why we love ’27’. Hurry back Mr. Jenkins. These young guys can learn a thing or two (or five or six).
