In a social media age, it wasn’t difficult to find a few tweets from a busy Philadelphia Eagles day at practice. Here are a few of the highlights.
Five days after Cinco de Mayo., the party is still going on in the ‘City of Brotherly Love’. The Philadelphia Eagles are throwing a soiree of a different type. Helmets are on, and footballs are being tossed all over the place.
That’s the best kind of party for anyone who cheers for ‘The Birds’.
Here’s how the tenth started for most Eagles fans and several members of the Philly media:

And, with that, rookie minicamp is off and running. The undrafted guys are in attendance. So are the guys Philly took in April’s NFL Draft. Andre Dillard, JJ Arcega-Whiteside, Miles Sanders, Shareef Miller and Clayton Thorson were all smiles as Philly’s 2019 draft class signed their deals on the day before practice.
Some of the best writers and former Eagles greats have been at it all afternoon and night breaking down every nuance of Eagles football. Check out the highlights:

The post of the day comes from ‘The Birds’ themselves. This is, without question, Carson Wentz‘s football team, and even though Philly has yet to hammer out a long-term deal, they have decided to pick up QB1’s fifth-year option.
That means we’re probably safe in assuming that Nate Sudfeld is the backup and Clayton Thorson will fall into the category of ‘project’. It may be a long time before we see Thorson’s first completion in a game that counts, but it was nice to see a completion from Philly’s fifth round selection to their second in practice.
This one is sick:

Honestly, what needs to be said after that? We’re, officially, a tad closer to Eagles football. The preseason can’t get here fast enough.
