Charity and the name Philadelphia Eagles are officially synonyms. This organization is full of great guys who are easy to cheer for.

One night prior to the most recent Super Bowl, Chris Long took home the honor of being named the Walter Payton Man of the Year. As most know, it’s an annual award that recognizes an NFL star for his philanthropy. Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Chris Long was this year’s selection, but to be honest, and this isn’t to be disrespectful to any of the previous winners or anyone who may win that award in the future, you could probably handpick an Eagle every year.

No one would complain if you did, especially when you look at all of the great things these guys are doing.

There’s Carson Wentz’s AO1 Foundation and his work with his food truck, Thy Kingdom Crumb. There’s Zach Ertz and his wife Julie and their Ertz Family Foundation, whose mission is to ’empower others by sharing faith, learning through sports and advancing education to build supportive communities’.

We mentioned Long, who gave away an entire season worth of game checks for goodness sakes. Malcolm Jenkins is a constant in the fight for social change, and the owner, Jeffrey Lurie, works tirelessly with his Eagles Charitable Foundation to bring attention and financial support to battle autism.

We could go on and on, but it’s kind of hard to keep up with. If they aren’t rolling food trucks out, they’re hosting charity baseball games. If they’re not doing that, they’re in the children’s hospitals. This organization is loaded with great executives and coaches and players, but in each of those areas you’ll find an executives and coaches and players who are truly good people.

Here are some highlights of just some of the great things they’ve done in the community recently:

Next. Could 2 undrafted linebackers make the roster?. dark

We could do this all day and night, but truthfully, if we highlighted all the great things this team did on and off of the field, this story would never end. This is truly an easy team to cheer for, even if you don’t watch football.
