The Philadelphia Eagles will host the Ravens in a couple of joint practices in preparation for their preseason clash on August 22nd.

Okay, let’s be honest for a second. The Philadelphia Eagles fans are among the best in sports, and though they may be upset over a certain announcement they’ve heard concerning training camp, they’ll be there for whatever practices are open to the public.

That we know for certain. Here’s something else that’s come out of the Novacare Complex recently.

In preparation for Philly’s August 22nd preseason date with those other Birds, the Baltimore Ravens to be exact, two joint practices will be held in the ‘City of Brotherly Love’ at the Novacare Complex so Philly and Baltimore can get some work in together,

That should be good news to both sides. At least they’ll get to beat up some guys from another roster. They should be good and tired of roughing their own guys up by then.

Eagles head coach Doug Pederson made the announcement at the NFL Annual Meeting in March. The news was reiterated by the team’s official website on Thursday.

Here’s a quote from Coach:

"We reached out to a couple of different teams this year, Baltimore being one, and they’re right down the road. It’s simple for them, it’s easy for us, and we’ll get a chance to play them. We had a great experience two years ago with the Dolphins coming in and we want to do it again."

The two teams will meet on August 19th and August 20th in preparation for this one. Here’s the announcement from the team’s official Twitter account:

Next. Wait... Carson Wentz isn't a top-ten quarterback?. dark

We expect the Philly faithful to turn an attentive ear and watchful eye in the direction of any and everybody that can fill them in on what’s going on when these two proud franchises shake hands and get some on-field work in.

The sting of a certain training camp announcement probably will have quelled by that time.
