We’ve got the names of 20 former Philadelphia Eagles who need to be given serious consideration for the Pro Footballl Hall of Fame.

For years, a conversation has come up from time to time. The question goes something like this. Would you rather be a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame or win a Super Bowl? Who knows who asked it first? Who knows why that question is asked of people who’ve never played a down of NFL football in their lives? Who knows? Maybe we can track down a few Philadelphia Eagles who have never done either and ask them.

Then again, maybe we can ask Brian Dawkins if he’d trade in his ‘Gold Jacket’ for a Super Bowl ring and see if he’d bite. Somehow, we doubt that he would. Plus ‘The Wolverine’ got his ring as an executive with the lone Eagles team to hoist the Lombardi Trophy, so he’s good.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame is an exclusive fraternity that includes only 318 men. That alone makes it special. Debate rages every year about who the new guys should be. Debate will always go on about why certain guys aren’t in there. That leads us to another type of discussion, former Philadelphia Eagles who should be in the discussion. There are many. Here are twenty that we can think of off the tops of our heads.
