Long forgiven for a lack of effort and a “For who? For what?” comment that followed, Rick Watters career numbers (10,643 career regular-season rushing yards, 4,248 receiving yards, and 91 total touchdowns (rushing and receiving) scream ‘Pro Football Hall of Fame’.

7. Bill Bergey

Read and learn youngsters, once upon a time Bill Bergey played the position of linebacker like it was supposed to be played. He’s a member of both the Eagles Hall of Fame and the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame.

During his playing days, he made five Pro Bowls (1969, 1974, 1976, 1977, 1978), two First-team All-Pro nods (1974, 1975), and three Second-team All-Pro nods (1976, 1977, 1978).

8. David Akers

‘Green Akers’ is the owner of the NFL’s record for points scored by a kicker with 166. He’s a six-time Pro Bowl selection (2001, 2002, 2004, 2009–2011). He’s a two-time First-team All-Pro (2001, 2011). He’s a four-time Second-team All-Pro (2002, 2004, 2009, 2010).

Add all of that the fact that he owns the record for the longest field goal in San Francisco 49ers history (63 yards), he’s a member of the Philadelphia Eagles 75th Anniversary Team, the NFL 2000s All-Decade Team, and the Philadelphia Eagles Hall of Fame.

Oh, and by the way, he also owns the record for points scored by a kicker in an NFL season with 44 points.
