15. Eric Allen

Think of the great cornerbacks in Eagles history. Then, place this thought on your mind. Eric Allen is just as good, if not better than all of them.

789 total tackles, 54 interceptions, three sacks, six forced fumbles, seven fumble recoveries, and nine defensive touchdowns punctuate a brilliant NFL career that was highlighted by six Pro Bowl selections (1989, 1991–1995), a First-team All-Pro nod in 1989, and two Second-team All-Pro nods in 1991 and 1993.

He’s also a member of the Eagles 75th Anniversary Team and the Eagles Hall of Fame, as he should be.

16. Stan Walters

Walters cleared the Way for Wilbert Montgomery back in the day, In 1979, that helped Montgomery rack up 1.512 rushing yards. In 1980 he wouldn’t allow any sacks. If you’re a young Eagles fan, you may want to ask your grandfather about this guy.

Take a look at the names on the Eagles Hall of Fame or the 1978 or 1979 Pro Bowl rosters, and you’ll see Walters name. He may never make it to Canton because he’s forgotten about by the rest of the NFL, but he’ll never be forgotten about ‘Birds’ fans, both young and old.
