Philadelphia Eagles: NFL Network analyst is excited about JJ Arcega-Whiteside
NFL Network’s Brian Baldinger is excited to see what the Philadelphia Eagles have in rookie wide receiver, JJ Arcega-Whiteside.
Over the course of the spring, the Philadelphia Eagles had a few standout players. Although there haven’t been any physical reps quite yet, the OTAs and mandatory minicamp portion of the offseason gives coaches and the media somewhat of an idea of what’s to come. And apparently, what’s left to come from JJ Arcega-Whiteside is quite intriguing.
The Eagles selected Whiteside with the second of their pair of picks in round two this past NFL Draft. Unlike the first guy they chose (Miles Sanders), not too many people within the Eagles fan base knew who they were getting out of the Stanford wide receiver with the next pick. Everybody quickly became familiar, though as Arcega-Whiteside’s highlights made it around the internet.
The Stanford product has upside for sure — and now he’s beginning to garner praise from all of the right people thus far. Last month, the Eagles wrapped up their minicamp phase of the offseason, dismissing them for about a month before the team returns for training camp.
Just as minicamp was wrapping up, Doug Pederson revealed his standout players, and Arcega-Whiteside just so happened to be one. Not to mention, the local media was raving about Arcega-Whiteside throughout the entire spring portion of workouts. Now, a highly-respected NFL Network Analyst is getting in on the hype as well.

For those who are not familiar with Brian Baldinger and the Baldy Breakdowns on Twitter, allow me to explain. First of all, Baldinger is a former NFL offensive lineman. His playing career started in the early 80s with the Dallas Cowboys. Then he wrapped up his career in 1993 with the Philadelphia Eagles. Nowadays, Baldinger is a respected analyst at NFL Network and tends to take a lot of his analysis to Twitter.
What ‘Baldy’ likes to do is film a video of a specific clip pertaining to the player he’s analyzing and voices over the video as he films. The videos tend to be very raw and unedited and go straight to Twitter. At this point, he’s created his own Twitter series titled “Baldy Breakdowns.” And this year, Baldy is hoping to break down some Arcega-Whiteside film after seeing some OTAs footage.
