Miles Sanders, RB

"Spadaro’s Take: “Sanders has to show, No. 1, that he’s healthy. That’s the most important thing here. No. 2, he has to get comfortable in the offense, perfect his timing, show he can pass block and run routes and do all the things that running backs coach/assistant head coach Duce Staley demands of his room. Sanders has a chance to contribute as a rookie but, again, there is absolutely nothing guaranteed here. The Eagles have a sneaky-talented running back room. Sanders has to show something to get on the field in his first season.”"

Last year, the Eagles’ backfield was the biggest weak link on their offense. This year they made upgrades and should be much better than last year, but nothing is guaranteed. Like many Eagles players, rookie running back Miles Sanders got bit by the injury bug early on. Though he was present for rookie minicamp after the draft, Sanders would never join the Eagles entire roster for OTAs and minicamp, thanks to a nagging hamstring injury.

It’s unclear if Sanders will be present for training camp right away or not. As nobody has been around to offer any injury updates, it’s unclear where he’s at with his progress. The hope is that Sanders gets on the field day one and catches up to the offense quickly, but we can’t be so sure that’s how it is going to go down.
