Philadelphia Eagles: Some of training camp’s best tweets
The Philadelphia Eagles took a break from camp on Sunday, so with no on-field work to talk about, we revisit some of the best social media posts so far.
As days fly by, the Philadelphia Eagles turned the calendar to July 28th knowing two things. They had a day off from their on-field work, and they’re officially just six weeks away from their first game of the season, a September 8th date with the Washington Redskins at Lincoln Financial Field.
Training camp began on July 24th for Philly. Their first practice came a day later. The pads were thrown on for a Saturday session. We’ve heard head coach Doug Pederson, their franchise quarterback, Carson Wentz, and both their offensive and defensive coordinators Mike Groh and Jim Schwartz, take the podium for press conferences.
We’ve discussed injuries, no shows at the practices of their rivals and inuries that have ripped through the cornerback position. Through it all the Philly faithful and the Eagles themselves have kept us on track with what’s going on through social media.
Love it or hate it, social media has its’ advantages. Here are a few highlights from the last few days.
NBA World Champion, Philly’s own Kyle Lowery made a trip to the NovaCare Complex. The reaction to his visit split the Eagles’ fan base slightly, but as far as we’re concerned at ITI, he’s family. Take a look.
From there, we’ve got the man that may be the Eagles’ next Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee, Jason Peters giving wisdom to the man who will, one day, replace him, Andre Dillard. There’s a note on Cre’Von LeBlanc‘s unexpected injury, the announcement of the guy who will fill in during his absence and some post-practice work by a few Eagles.
Take a gander.
As cool as all of that is, it pales in comparison to the love this team shows to the fans that always show love to them. This is the best team in the world, and they have the best fans in the world. Eagles fans love this team unconditionally, and the team always finds a way to return it.
The regular season just can’t seem to get here fast enough, but that’s okay. We’ll have plenty to talk about during the coming weeks of camp and when camp ends and those four preseason games are played.
