Despite their reputation as being some of the most verbally aggressive fans in the NFL, a recent study shows Philadelphia Eagles fans may not be as bad as they’re blamed for being.

With talk of 53-man roster projections and training camp workouts sprouting up all over the place, sometimes, it’s easy to get caught up with every mention of the Philadelphia Eagles and every time Carson Wentz completes a pass to DeSean Jackson.

It’s not like any of us are tired of that, but that also makes any football news of a different sort stand out. Sometimes, while searching the rosters of other teams and while looking for trade partners or future prospects, you come across sports news of a different sort. Try this one on for size.

Recently, Casino.org, with the help of Reddit, ranked the NFL’s most vulgar fanbases. If you’re an Eagles fan, you’ve heard this about yourself for your entire life. After all, these are the guys who had the jail cell at Veteran’s Stadium.

These are the guys who threw snow balls at Santa Claus. These are the guys who might lose it and boo their own team when things get frustrating.

Okay, let’s be honest. It’s a title Eagles fans have been proud of from time to time. With that being said, some of them won’t like the results, but here they are.

Casino.org scraped over half a million comments on the Reddit radar for vulgar vocabulary, and when they were done, the top-five most vulgar fanbases on this list were the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Tennessee Titans, the Cleveland Browns, the Oakland Raiders, and the Miami Dolphins.

Wait Philly couldn’t even crack the top five? To be honest ladies and gentlemen, they didn’t even crack the top ten (or the top twenty for that matter), In fact they came in 30th.

Some of you are saying ‘See? We told you it isn’t as bad as people say’. Some of you are probably demanding a recount. We, at ITI, are among the latter. To make long stories short, we’ll put it this way. On behalf of the 500 level, ‘The Vet’, and Buddy Ryan, we’ll say it this way.

Philly fans you can do a whole lot better. Sheesh.
