There were five noticeable absences on the NFL Top 100 ranking. Here’s one sentence on five Philadelphia Eagles who should have made the cut.

One of the best things about NFL football is it’s a better brand of reality television. Sure, there’s some of the same drama and infighting, maybe not on the Philadelphia Eagles, but it does happen.

Even still, at least we know what we’re seeing is real. As the curtain closed on this season’s version of the Top 100 Players of 2019 as ranked by the players, the debate began. There’s even a reaction show the NFL Network created to do so.

Here’s the thing. There are five Philadelphia Eagles who didn’t make the cut that probably should have. These are five names that will make you scratch your head and one sentence on each one of those names.

1. Brandon Graham

Hey, he’s been snubbed for the Pro Bowl a time or two, and at times, he’s underappreciated by the casual NFL fan, so why should a player ranking be any different?

2. Malcolm Jenkins

All we’re saying at ITI is, if you can put six safeties on the list, one of them should be a guy who didn’t miss a single snap and played at an above-average level all season.

3. DeSean Jackson

The hope is that DeSean Jackson will use this newfound motivation and ‘Tom Brady‘ his way through the 2019 NFL season.

4. Alshon Jeffery

He’s dagerous in short yardage situations, runs good routes, and he can beat you deep. How many receivers on this list can claim that same type of versatility?

Okay, that was two sentences, but whatever.

5. Lane Johnson

Philly’s star at right tackle may not think he deserves all of the credit he gets, but everyone else is well aware of the fact that he should and he’ll prove that again in 2019.

Honorable mention: Jason Peters

Find a pen and a piece of paper, and write down ‘Jason Peters will be the Philadelphia Eagles next Pro Football Hall of fame inductee’.

Get it? Got it? Good! We can all move on now.
