Jordan Howard, RB

You’ve probably heard tons of great things about Eagles’ second-round rookie running back, Miles Sanders. That makes sense because everybody is excited to see the new guy. And while Sanders is doing some impressive things in camp, many are beginning to forget that the Eagles still have former Chicago Bears running back, Jordan Howard on board.

Howard has been in the NFL for the last three seasons, so we already know what he’s capable of doing. While he’s not the flashiest back, Howard has proven from time to time that he’s more than capable of moving the ball as a power runner. However, the Eagles aren’t looking for a one-dimensional back. Therefore, unlike the Bears, they are letting Howard test his other skills.

There hasn’t been much to complain about when it comes to Jordan Howard. He’s good in short-yardage situations and is one of the more productive backs in the league when it comes to strictly running the ball. But along with taking carries, Howard has excelled in pass-catching on some days, and he’s also one of, if not, the best pass protecting running back on the squad.
