You have to check out Alshon Jeffery’s hands. DeSean Jackson’s gotten a ton of attention by returning for the Philadelphia Eagles, and he should. Don’t forget about ’17’ though.

Here’s one of the understatements of the week. Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery doesn’t get enough attention for being as good as he is.

Ever since DeSean Jackson’s come home and Carson Wentz has shown he’s healthy, that seems to dominate the conversations concerning Philly’s offense and quarterback-and-receiver combos, and no one’s complaining about that. It should. This is DeSean Jackson and Carson Wentz guys. Still, you might want to keep Jeffery in mind. This could be a big year for ’17’.

We tend to forget how good this guy is. Think about that bomb from Nick Foles in the NFC Championship Game versus the Minnesota Vikings or that pirouette and grab in the end zone that got the scoring going in Super Bowl LII. Jeffery can body you like a power forward in the paint. He can run past any defender in the NFL. He can come down with those 50/50 balls.

Jeffery is as good as they come. Check out the hands in this clip the Eagles posted on social media recently.

Still not convinced? Go to YouTube and check out any highlight reel. Much was made about his drop in last season’s divisional round of the NFC PLayoffs, but come on. As many times as he’s been seen coming down with the ball on tough catches, he can be forgiven for dropping one right?

He’s human. It happens. Still, he’s better than the majority of the wide outs in the current NFL.

Next. 3 reasons why Philly’s loaded. dark

Jackson has shown he can still worry a few defensive coordinators in the NFL, but trust and believe none of them will forget about the fact that ’17’ is on the other side. If they do, they’ll learn to regret that decision quickly. Somewhere, Carson Wentz is smiling.
