Philadelphia Eagles veteran right guard Brandon Brooks has nothing but good things to say about his teammates, Carson Wentz and DeSean Jackson.

The Philadelphia Eagles are back to being hungry dogs once again. Back in 2017, Eagles’ center Jason Kelce praised the team for having the hunger to want to win it all after it was assumed the Eagles would place last in the NFC East for the second year in a row that season.

Many within the Eagles organization believed the team didn’t lose their hunger in 2018, but the results would say otherwise. A Super Bowl hangover took place for the Eagles last season. And guys were continuously getting injured once again. Except this time around, the next-man-up mentality wasn’t taking over as it did the previous year.

The hope is that the Eagles got over that hangover. Now, they are ready to get back to the place that they would like to call home for the next decade or so under the leadership of Doug Pederson and quarterback Carson Wentz. Although Wentz still has a lot to prove, the Eagles have done everything in their power to bring him the help that he needs.

Enter veteran wide receiver, DeSean Jackson. During Wentz’s three years in the NFL, he’s never had a threat like Jackson. Sure, Alshon Jeffery was a major get in 2017 — but Alshon isn’t the same type of playmaker as Jackson. With the veteran speedster on the field, he’s always a threat to get past the secondary and become wide open for a deep ball.

Everybody was excited to see how Wentz and Jackson would connect, and so far, it has been advertised as much as we would expect. Although the Eagles haven’t offered too much insight on the connection, veteran right guard Brandon Brooks has talked up both, Jackson and Wentz for their progress this offseason. And let’s just say, the 2019 season looks promising.

Brooks has nothing but good things to say

As he joined Philadephia’s 94WIP station, Brooks started talking about the re-introduction of DeSean Jackson back in Philly. “Obviously his speed is unreal,” Brooks stated. “He’s probably the fastest player I’ve played with.” Clearly, that’s a feature of Jackson’s that Eagles fans know very well. Ever since his arrival in Philly back in 2008, Jackson has been a dangerous deep threat.

Then, when discussing Jackson’s quarterback Carson Wentz, Brooks had nothing but good things to say on that topic as well. “Carson is playing lights out, I’m really excited.” Wentz has had some ups and downs this offseason as most quarterbacks do, but for the most part, he’s been described as looking very healthy and looking just as good as he did during the 2017 offseason. Great news.
