The Undrafted Free Agents

T.J. Edwards, LB

The Wisconsin product T.J. Edwards was one of the Eagles most intriguing offseason signings shortly after the draft concluded. Since the Eagles neglected linebacker before the Zach Brown signing, they ended up getting some excellent value in Edwards. We’ll see if his offseason hype will translate to the game field this Thursday.

Kevin Wilkins, DT

Defensive tackle Kevin Wilkins is a solid player who is in an unfortunate situation. He’s been a standout, but he’s buried on the depth chart behind the likings of Fletcher Cox, Malik Jackson, Timmy Jernigan, Bruce Hector, Treyvon Hester, etc. It’s going to be hard to stand out, but at least he will get some substantial playing time in the preseason.

DeAndre Thompkins, WR

Out of all Penn State rookie acquisitions on the Eagles (there were a lot), DeAndre Thompkins got Doug Pederson’s attention the most. As Pederson was asked which rookies stood out to him, Thompkins was one of his two answers. The multi-talented wideout could be returning and running routes this preseason and it sure sounds like he’s doing a solid job.
