Philadelphia Eagles: Every jersey number’s best player in team history
49. Todd Bell
Todd Bell played both safety and linebacker during his nine-year NFL career. The final two were played in Philly. He proved he had plenty left in the tank, and started every one of the 20 games he played in Philly before a broken leg ended his career prematurely.
48. Wes Hopkins
Wes Hopkins played from 1983 to 1993. Every single one of his 137 career games was played in Philly. He’s one of the most versatile Eagles in history, racking up both 12 sacks and 30 interceptions for his career.
47. Greg Jackson
Greg Jackson‘s two seasons in Philadelphia produced 151 tackles (121 were solo) and seven interceptions, not a bad run by Mr. Jackson.
46. (Tie) Jon Dorenbos/ Herman Edwards
We couldn’t decide between the magic man Jon Dorenbos, who we love, and Herm Edwards who had 33 career interceptions, so this one’s a tie. By the way, Edwards is the star of one of the most famous highlights in Eagles history.
45. Tim Hauck
25 Eagles have worn the number 45. No one did the number more justice than Tim Hauck. He racked up 132 total tackles over his three seasons in Philly, and to this day, every Eagles fan appreciates him for the effort.
