3. Mark Sanchez

Look, this guy was more than just a guy responsible for the ‘butt fumble’. Mark Sanchez led the New York Jets to two AFC Championship Games, and at 10-6, he came just this short of leading the Eagles to a playoff appearance. He was a very capable backup who won some games. He just wasn’t a starter.

He also led a blowout victory over the Dallas Cowboys on a Thanksgiving afternoon.

2. David Akers

Here’s another future Eagles Hall of Fame inductee and for good reason. David Akers made five Pro Bowls while with Philly (2001, 2002, 2004, 2009, 2010).

He’s the Philadelphia Eagles all-time leading scorer. He’s a member of the Philadelphia Eagles 75th Anniversary Team, their Hall of Fame, and he holds two NFL records. One is the single-season record for points scored by a kicker (166), and the other is the single-season record for field goals (44).

1. Tony Franklin

Our run of kickers and punters continues with another, but it is what it is. After five years with the Eagles and with the only other viable options being Cody Parkey and Cameron Johnston, we’d all have to agree that Tony Franklin is the only name that could go here.
