8. Halapoulivaati Vaitai

Before the Eagles’ first preseason game, we all learned the Eagles were pondering a decision to rest every starter on offense except for running back Jordan Howard. They did exactly that, and Halapoulivaati Vaita still isn’t seen as one of the starting tackles with both Jason Peters and Lane Johnson out of the lineup.

If he isn’t traded, Vaitai will make the 53-man roster, but cross-training him at guard looks less like Philly’s enamored with his versatility and more like they’re trying to come up with something, or anything, that he can do effectively and consistently with guys they like better on the roster.

9. Daeshon Hall

This one’s unfortunate. Daeshon Hall has proven he can play. He was having a nice showing in the preseason opener before he got injured. Now, he’s ‘day to day’ with a shoulder injury that comes at a bad time for a guy who is doing everything he can to make this roster.
