1. This one made quite a few of us check out the numbers.

Everyone knows Shittu’s been here before, but remembering what he did here might cause a little haziness. The first reaction in a world where just about everybody plays Fantasy Football is to find some stats. Unfortunately, in the case of Shittu, there aren’t any.

At this point in his career, he hasn’t registered a single tackle in the NFL despite being a part of Philly’s roster from 2016 to 2018. He does have a Super Bowl ring as he was a part of that Super Bowl roster in 2017

2. Here’s what his career’s looked like in Philly to this point.

‘The Birds’ brought Shittu in as an undrafted free agent on May 5th of 2016. They waived him on September 3rd of that same year but added him to their practice squad the next day.

After spending his entire rookie season on the practice squad, he signed a reserve/future contract with the Eagles on January 2nd of 2017. He was placed on the team’s IR (injured reserve) on May 2nd of that same year. That’s where the Super Bowl ring comes in. On September 1st of 2018, Shittu was waived by the Eagles.

His re-addition on August 13th gives him another shot to make the team. We’ll see if he makes good on it.
