1. It appears to be the end of the line for Jay Liggins.

Philly released cornerback Jeremiah Liggins, better known as ‘Jay’ in a corresponding move. Liggins was an undrafted rookie free agent that many didn’t see as a guy who was making the team, but he was seen as a possible addition to Philly’s practice squad by some.

Maybe he’s brought back in some capacity later (most likely the practice squad), but for now, it seems that this is the end of the road for the rookie.

2. What happens to the roster now?

Though at the time of this writing, we haven’t been given the specifics of Toth’s deal, as Schefter reported, it’s believed to be somewhere in the area of three years. What does that mean for the Eagles’ offensive line now?

Will Philly attempt to move Halapoulivaati Vaitai? Is Jordan Mailata safe? Does adding another tackle add fuel to the rumors that Philly may trade a tackle for Jadeveon Clowney? It would seem Matt Pryor‘s job is in jeopardy, but there’s no way of knowing anything for sure.

Here’s what’s weird. There have been rumors that the Houston Texans would trade Clowney by the third preseason game. Here’s something else that’s weird. It seems strange that Philly would add a tackle after two games in the preseason and give him a three-year deal if they didn’t have any plans of keeping him past that.
