Week 1:

Giants at Cowboys, Sunday, September 8th at 4:25 PM EST, AT&T Stadium

This used to be a game that you could count on the Cowboys losing. That isn’t the case anymore. The Giants used to be proud and one of the more well-run franchises in the entire NFL. Now, they’re in a state of flux.

Their once-unflappable quarterback Eli Manning now seems to be confused about everything he’s doing. The Giants have a nice young prodigy waiting in the wings, Daniel Jones, but rather than succumb to the inevitable, giving him the ball, they’d rather be the team that doesn’t want to offend Eli Manning and spend all of their time talking about how much respect he deserves for what he used to do.

Love them or hate them, Dallas will be in the discussion all season. Don’t look now, but the Cowboys seem to be the team with the plan (except for in their contract negotiations). The Giants are now the trainwreck who would rather call this ‘transition’. That means Dallas is favored in Week 1.

Prediction: Cowboys 27, Giants 13

Projected team records after Week 1: Eagles (1-0), Cowboys (1-0), Redskins (0-1), Giants (0-1)

Projected divisional records: Eagles (1-0), Cowboys (1-0), Redskins (0-1), Giants (0-1)
