2. Doug Pederson (2016-Present)

The only reasoning for Doug Pederson not being ranked number one is solely based on sample size. He just has not been around long enough. However, in the short time he has been in Philadelphia as head coach, he has certainly made his mark.

Though many doubted his abilities as a legitimate head coach due to his inexperience as a play-caller, Pederson was tasked to right the ship after the failed Chip Kelly experience. Things did not necessarily go as planned in year one, as the rookie head coach led the team to a second straight sub-500 record.

Despite a lackluster 7-9 first season at the helm, Pederson came into year two revamped and ready to prove doubters wrong and did he ever. “Dougie P” did what no coach before him could do, and that was win the first Super Bowl in franchise history.

If it were not for injuries last season, many could argue the Eagles could have gone for back-to-back Super Bowl titles. Pederson, who has the highest winning percentage in franchise history, goes into his fourth campaign with arguably his most talented team yet and has all the pressure from fans and media to raise the second Lombardi trophy in Eagles history.
