ITI:  How good can Lamar Jackson be? Can you honestly say he’ll be an elite quarterback in the NFL if he can’t sling the rock and be successful doing so consistently?

Schisler:

Lamar Jackson has a chance to be a superstar. I think he is going to be one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL for a long time. I actually wrote a couple of posts before the 2018 draft pitching the idea that the Ravens should take Jackson. I’ve always believed in him and this belief has only grown with a 6-1 regular-season record and a lot of hard work that he put in this offseason.

He’s a better passer than you think he is. The national media hones in on his running ability and people outside of Baltimore get the impression he’s just a running quarterback. He has completed over 60 percent of his passes this preseason and has led some scoring drives.

It may be only preseason but he looks good, sharp and comfortable running the offense. Jackson may never be able to have the pinpoint accuracy of Drew Brees, but he will become a very good passer in the NFL. He has talent on top of talent. Jackson is special and he’s just going to keep proving his doubters wrong.
