Recently, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz got an upgrade to his workout room.

You have to love Carson Wentz if you’re a Philadelphia Eagles fan. ’11’ isn’t just a great player. He’s a great person, and honestly, despite holding team records for completions in a season (379) and touchdown passes in a single season (33), his personality and laid-back demeanor are probably two of the reasons that Eagles fans love him the most.

The guy has a food truck called ‘Thy Kingdom Crumb’ for goodness sakes.

Sure, charity baseball games and mission trips are just as much a part of Wentz’s personality as hunting trips and scrambling out of a pass rush. For Eagles fans, that last hobby is the one that makes them the most fearful.

In 2017, he couldn’t complete the regular season because of an MCL and ACL tear, but the Eagles won the Super Bowl thanks to some heroic exploits by Nick Foles. In 2018, Philly entered the regular season as the defending champions knowing they’d get ’11’ back early in the campaign.

He was back by Week 3, but for the second year in a row, Wentz’s season came to end because of an injury.

After months of rehab, he’s back, but he won’t play in the preseason. The first glimpse of Wentz that we’ll see will be when Philly takes on the Washington Redskins in Week 1 of the regular season. The Eagles’ brass did their part by investing in skill players and the offensive line. Wentz has done his part by eating better and investing in an upgrade to his own-home workout routine.

Does anyone else feel like hitting the weight room? It appears the franchise is putting that $128 million contract extension with $107 million guaranteed to good use. Now, that’s what you call ‘investing back into the business’. Fire up the ‘Wentz Wagon’ ladies and gentlemen. ‘Mercedez Wentz’ is all tuned up, and the victory tour will hopefully take Philly all the way to Miami Gardens in February.
