Running Backs: (Miles Sanders)

Miles Sanders:

Anyone with even a passing familiarity with Philadelphia sports media over the past few weeks knows that the hype levels are rising around Miles Sanders. Don’t just take the Philly media’s word for it though, national Fantasy analysts like Brad Evans of Yahoo Fantasy Sports has also taken notice.

The Eagles third-round selection in this years NFL Draft has earned that praise in multiple preseason games, rushing for 31 yards on just six carries against the Jacksonville Jaguars‘ vaunted defense. The biggest question mark surrounding Sanders going into the year is how he will be utilized by head coach Doug Pederson.

Pederson is notorious in Fantasy circles for implementing an RBBC (Running Back by Committee) approach out of the backfield, and there will be plenty of other mouths to feed this season with Jordan HowardDarren Sproles, and likely Corey Clement on the roster.

Sanders’ talent and the hype surrounding him will inevitably push him to the top spot on the team’s depth chart for running backs, but he will need to distinguish himself in the passing game to truly live up to his current late sixth-round ADP (average draft position). He’s the Eagles’ running back most are excited to own, but he may be priced out of a reasonable spot by the time your draft comes around.
