WRs continued: (Nelson Agholor and JJ Arcega-Whiteside)

Nelson Agholar: (2018 Stats: 736 Rec Yds/4 TD’s)

We’ve reached the portion of this receiver breakdown where the forgotten man resides. The growth of Nelson Agholor has been one of the biggest surprises in recent years for the Eagles organization.

From a man known for his “stone hands” during his first two seasons to an integral piece of the Eagles 2017 Super Bowl team, Agholar has faced adversity and conquered it in his four years in the league thus far.

For fantasy purposes, Agholar is being shaded in most drafts coming into 2019. Why? He holds just a 16 percent ownership rate in Yahoo leagues. This is, of course, mostly due to the positional depth surrounding him, but many believe Agholar could be a nice hidden gem to stash on your bench at the end of drafts this year. Jimmy Kempski of the Philly Voice has talked up how impressive Agholar’s looked in training camp these past few weeks saying:

"“I believe he is going to be a significant part of the Eagles’ offense, even with the utilization of more 2-TE sets. He had the most impressive set of catches among the Eagles’ receivers this camp.”"

His spot on the roster is secure in 2019 despite trade speculation, and his connection with Wentz on broken plays downfield has been a lucrative one in the past. Don’t expect a high ceiling for him, but if he’s available late in drafts most would suggest taking a flier on a guy that could rekindle some of that 2017 magic in this offense.

2019 Projected Stats: (750 Rec Yds/5 TD’s)

JJ Arcega-Whiteside:

The final wide-out in our breakdown is the most curious of the bunch. When the Eagles drafted JJ Arcega-Whiteside, in the second round of this past years NFL Draft many Eagles fans didn’t know who or what they just acquired. The big-bodied former Stanford Cardinal receiver is presumed to be the heir apparent to Alshon Jeffery, and he’s flashed the skills in the preseason to contribute as early as this year. At this time, Arcega-Whiteside will be left undrafted entirely in most leagues, but he should be a player to watch closely throughout the year if anyone else were to miss time.

2019 Projected Stats: (400 Rec Yds/2 TD’s)
