Philadelphia Eagles veteran wide receiver DeSean Jackson broke his finger at practice on Tuesday.

Right now, the Philadelphia Eagles have a handful of players working on getting healthy. After an injury-riddled 2018 season, the Eagles are still dealing with some of the negative impacts.

While most of their key players seem to be doing a lot better in their progress towards getting healthy, other players are beginning to deal with a fair share of injuries as well.

On Tuesday, the Eagles dealt with a significant scare as one of their starting wide receivers suffered an injury. Veteran wide receiver DeSean Jackson went down with a hand injury while going through workouts at practice at the Nova Care Complex.

According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, Jackson was diagnosed with a broken ring finger. The initial reaction in Philly is not too worried, however. The source has reported that Jackson is not expected to miss any time in the regular season and the Eagles aren’t all that concerned.

Rapaport’s Report

Jackson ended up playing a few snaps last week in the Eagles ‘dress rehearsal’ game during week three of the preseason. While he didn’t see many targets, it was good to see the veteran wideout on the field getting some game reps. Now, the Eagles will be holding off on playing him once again until the first week of the regular season rolls around in a couple of weeks.

Hopefully, Jackson’s broken finger will be healed, and the team won’t have to worry about potentially sitting him out from his official return in Philly while going against another former team of his in the Washington Redskins. Right now, it sounds like he should be good to go.
