8. Tevaughn Campbell, cornerback

Tevaughn Campbell went undrafted in the NFL Draft in 2015. He was taken in Round 3 of the CFL Draft that same year, and four CFL seasons and three CFL teams later, the Jets decided to give him a shot by giving him a future/reserve contract on January 4th of 2019. He’s been playing a lot and should get an extended look on Thursday as he and the next guy on the list seem to be in a battle for the final cornerback spot.

9. Alex Brown, cornerback

Tevaughn Campbell, as of right now, might have the slight edge on Alex Brown, but Brown had a tremendous showing against the Saints in the Jets’ third preseason game. Now, that may not be enough to win Brown the job as the Jets’ sixth cornerback, but it doesn’t hurt him either.

Who knows? If Campbell falters in the final preseason game and Brown plays well again. This is a battle that might go down to the wire.

Plus, you might want to keep in mind there are some Eagles receivers who are battling to make the roster, namely Greg Ward Jr., and Brown spent some time on the Eagles roster this Summer. He’ll look to prove to the Eagles that their decision to release him was the wrong one.

Don’t look now, but Philly’s wideouts versus New York’s corners may be something you want to pay attention to all night on Thursday.
