DeSean Jackson’s injury will not hold him out of the Eagles 2019 regular-season debut against the Redskins.

The Philadelphia Eagles had some slight worries this week as one of their own suffered an injury. As we know, the Eagles have had their fair share of injuries over the last year or so, and they haven’t had the chance to get fully healthy. So another injury to one of their most important players would be the last thing that they need to deal with.

Unfortunately, one of their key receivers, suffered a setback. DeSean Jackson left practice early on Tuesday as he was dealing with discomfort in his hand. As it turns out, Jackson was dealing with a broken ring finger. The initial reports indicated that the Eagles were hardly worried, and they didn’t believe the veteran wideout would miss any time.

However, a conflicting report came out following the breaking news stating that Jackson was told his injury could keep out for ‘three to four weeks’ depending on how he feels with the custom splint he had made. Jackson has been sporting the splint, and he did get some work in with it. Regardless though, his week one status was still up in the air — until now.

DeSean Jackson is good to go next week

Before the Eagles kicked off their final preseason game against the New York Jets on Thursday, the teams’ official insider Dave Spadaro gave a quick report regarding Jackson’s injury from the sideline. According to Spadaro, Jackson and the Eagles have confirmed that No. 10 will make his season debut against his former team next Sunday. Great news for the Eagles.
