6. T.J. Edwards, LB

Here is one of the most exciting rookies this offseason. While T.J. Edwards from Wisconsin wasn’t a draft pick, he might be another undrafted free agent who can crack the final 53-man roster. Does he have it locked in right now? Not quite.

A strong performance on Thursday though could solidify himself a spot on the main roster though, especially with injuries that Eagles linebackers are currently dealing with. Here is a player who could legitimately develop into a contributor sooner than later.

7. Shareef Miller, DE

Doug Pederson mentioned on Tuesday that the fourth defensive end spot is wide open. Initially, it felt like Josh Sweat was the guy for the job, but he’s been quite underwhelming thus far. Daeshon Hall had a great first two weeks, but he struggled a bit last game.

Shareef Miller has had his highs and lows, and overall, he hasn’t looked bad for a fourth-round rookie. However, it will be interesting to see what the Eagles do with him. It would be nice if he could have a standout game against the Jets, so it doesn’t convince the team to potentially try and stash Miller on the practice squad or the Injured Reserve for an ‘injury.’

8. Rudy Ford, S

Last week, the Eagles made a trade on gameday, sending Bruce Hector to Arizona in exchange for Cardinals’ safety, Rudy Ford. That move indicated that one of the Eagles safeties were most likely getting kicked out the door soon, and it proved to be correct as they waived Tre Sullivan.

Now, Rudy Ford will play in his first game with the Eagles, and we’ll see what he can bring to the table. Know that when the Eagles brought in Ford, it wasn’t really like they were acquiring somebody who could come in and play third or even fourth-string safety. The Eagles made a deal for Ford to see what he could potentially bring to the table on special teams.
