9. Nathan Gerry, LB

The former college safety-turned-linebacker is still trying to find his fit in the NFL. For the last couple of offseasons, Nathan Gerry had some hype surrounding him from his coaches to his teammates. However, when it comes to game day, he simply cannot garner the same hype from the fans and the media — why is that?

Perhaps, Gerry is just not cut out for this job. While he does okay on some plays, the Eagles need somebody who can consistently contribute to the team. Sometimes it seems like Gerry might offer that. Other times, it looks like the Eagles are better off without him. We’ll see what the Eagles think this week as Gerry will get some early reps.

10. Josh Adams, RB

At a point last season, the Eagles were willing to give Josh Adams the workload of a bell-cow, first-string running back. Eventually, that work disappeared though. The undrafted free agent is a decent running back, and there’s no denying that. But is there room for him in Philly?

It seems like the Eagles are trying to do everything they can for Adams to ensure he remains on a team. However, it doesn’t feel like they are trying to keep him around. Through the first three weeks of the preseason, Adams leads all running backs in carries.

It sure feels like the former undrafted rookie is being gifted these carries in order to showcase his talent for running back-needy offenses for when the Eagles waive him this upcoming weekend.
