Shareef Miller, DE

Round 4, Pick 138

This preseason, the Eagles were hosting a battle for the fourth defensive end position. As we know, in the regular season Brandon Graham and Derek Barnett will start on opposite ends of each other on the edge. Filling in behind Barnett will be the veteran, Vinny Curry.

Before, Chris Long would fill in for Graham, but the veteran is retired and out of the picture. Therefore, the Eagles have been on the lookout for a player to win that spot potentially and the battle was between Josh Sweat, Daeshon Hall, and the rookie, Shareef Miller.

It’s pretty evident that Hall likely deserves the spot. He’s been the best player for the Eagles overall this preseason. Sweat has been underwhelming for his expectations, but Miller has actually been pretty good, despite being quiet this preseason. He will make the team for sure, but there’s actually a shot that Miller could be in competition with Josh Sweat for the fifth spot.

Stats: 8 total tackles, 2 sacks
