Safety (4)

Malcolm Jenkins, Rodney McLeod, Andrew Sendejo, Johnathan Cyprien
Bringing in Andrew Sendejo to replace Corey Graham was a brilliant move. Add Johnathan Cyprien to the mix, and the Eagles have put together their version of ‘The Fantastic Four’. The Eagles normally carry one safety who is a special teams ace, as we saw with Chris Maragos for a while, but that probably won’t be the case here.

Cornerback (6)

Ronald Darby, Sidney Jones, Avonte Maddox, Rasul Douglas, Cre’von LeBlanc, Orlando Scandrick (Jalen Mills on (PUP)

All of the playing time the backups got last season was invaluable.  The cornerbacks are without a doubt deeper and more talented and there are three cornerbacks primed for breakout seasons.  It’s less a matter of if one of them breaks out but who and how many.  Unfortunately, it seems the cornerbacks are still being coached to play well off the WR, keeping those quick passes open for opposing quarterbacks to take advantage of and making it nearly impossible for our defensive line to get sacks.
