Philadelphia Eagles announce 53-man roster: 5 Things that stand out

The final 53-man Philadelphia Eagles roster has been released. There’s a lot that stands out. There’s going to be a lot of talks all weekend long.

The Philadelphia Eagles are among the favorites to represent the NFC in Miami Gardens, Florida for Super Bowl LIV. They have a superstar quarterback in Carson Wentz. They’re loaded along the offensive line. They have a ton of options at the skill positions. Then, there’s the defense.

They could have an elite pass rush and a nice rotation along with the defensive line’s interior. The second level has talent. So does the secondary, and even though there are injury concerns at cornerback, everyone would have to agree that if you get these guys back, that unit could be special as well.

Still, with all of that being said, you can’t make a march towards another Lombardi trophy until you put a roster together. The Eagles introduced theirs on Saturday at the 4 PM EST deadline. As expected, there are surprises and conversation pieces. Both will be examined here.

First, let’s introduce you to some new faces and reintroduce you to the other guys on the initial roster.
