Defensive Ends (6)

Brandon Graham, Derek Barnett, Daeshon Hall, Vinny Curry, Shareef Miller, Josh Sweat

If hall wouldn’t have made this team, there would have been a riot, one that’s unlike anything you’ve ever seen in the Eagles’ fanbase.

Defensive tackles (4)

Fletcher Cox, Malik Jackson, Timmy Jernigan, Hassan Ridgeway

No surprises here. This is a nice unit. If Jernigan is healthy, he can start on a lot of NFL rosters, and he’s the third man on the depth chart here.

Linebackers (6)

Nigel Bradham, Kamu Grugier-Hill, Zach Brown, Nathan Gerry, T.J. Edwards, L.J. Fort

Many of us thought that the Eagles would keep five linebackers. They kept six, largely due to a heck of a preseason performance by T.J. Edwards. It’s good to see that he’s been rewarded with an opportunity.

Cornerbacks (5)

Ronald Darby, Sidney Jones, Cre’Von LeBlanc, Rasul Douglas, Avonte Maddox

Nobody better get hurt. No, wait. Guys are already hurt. Either the Eagles are thinking Darby will be ready by the Week 1 opener, or this group will see some changes in the next few days. Otherwise, they walk into Week 1 with three corners.

Safeties (5)

Malcolm Jenkins, Rodney McLeod, Andrew Sendejo, Johnathan Cyprien, Rudy Ford

In typical Eagles fashion, the Eagles keep an extra safety who they hope will pay dividends on special teams. Meet Rudy Ford. Could he be the modern-day Chris Maragos?

Specialists (3)

Kicker: Jake Elliott, Punter: Cameron Johnston, Long snapper: Rick Lovato

We’ve known this forever. As expected, there are no surprises here.
